Severe tree root intrusion was causing sewage backflow into the basement.
Real Project • Drain Cleaning
📍 Willow Grove, PA
Diagnosed a stubborn grease obstruction in a residential cast-iron lateral without opening basement slabs.
Project Details
This Willow Grove drain cleaning project involved a stubborn grease obstruction inside a residential cast-iron lateral. The blockage was restricting drainage and required more than a basic surface-level clearing.
Drain State evaluated the line and used sewer camera inspection equipment to better understand the location and condition of the obstruction. The problem was identified inside the existing cast-iron drain line.
Heavy mechanical snaking was then used to break through and remove the grease buildup. The work was completed through the existing drainage system without opening the basement slab.
The affected line was cleared the same day and normal drainage was restored. By locating the obstruction and cleaning the existing pipe directly, the service resolved the immediate blockage without unnecessary demolition.
